Dd8 is looking for ANY composer information (totally obsessed) and she loved all these CD's. Any ideas for more of these, or even good children's books about composers, or anything else you can think of? She has listened to the ones I listed MANY times. I'm also about to order Classical Magic Vol. 2 since she's worn out our volume 1! Thanks.

I should mention that she's also read the Venezia books-which I highly recommend! And Opal Wheeler's books, which were excellent too. Help! I'm running out of ideas and she wants MORE! Thanks again!

Have you tried listening to the samples on amazon? We like the Vox Music Masters, but everyone is different. Beethoven's Wig (not Vox, something different) is crazy fun if you haven't heard that yet. :)

Oops, pay no attention to the woman behind the curtain. I didn't catch that you've done Vox already. Have you considered doing an actual music curriculum with her and starting her on an instrument? If she's that into it, she'd probably do well with an instrument. We've been doing the BJU music curriculum and really enjoy it. It's not hard to teach and is a bright spot in our day.

The Farewell Symphony and other picture book/cd combinations by Anna Harwell Celenza. Here are some of them on Amazon:

Of course, there's Peter and the Wolf, but I'm sure you've already done that.

actually went to a great children's performance of it too by the symphony orchestra here. And she is doing recorder this year in music class in co-op; she's even jumped ahead on her own and is trying to "compose" her own music! the Celenza items look great-thank you! Anyone else think of anything?
