View Full Version : Help with day trip ideas- Wanted to go to Greenfield village, but season not open yet
Dh is off this week and we are stir-crazy. We were hoping to tie in Greenfield village with Toledo Zoo, but Greenfield Village doesn't open for a couple more weeks. Any suggestions for nice towns on East side of the state??? Anyone know of any little towns comparable to Holland, MI?(quaint, clean and nice shopping)
Also heard there's a water park near Cabellas. Is it worth going to?
Any suggestions so appreciated!!!

The water park near Cabellas is supposed to be nice; it's popular with homeschoolers here for day trips. Dundee is a nice little town, too. It's not Holland, though. I know there are some towns more like that over outside Ann Arbor, though.
Have you been to the Henry Ford Museum (next to Greenfield Village?) It is very interesting, and it has an IMAX (so I hear, I would return my lunch if I went in it, LOL.)

the Henry Ford Museum. it's right next to Greenfield Village. If you're able to go into Detroit, my son and i really liked the Science Museum there.
