How difficult is it to pass? What is the best way to review? Do you take it during your senior year in high school, or during your first year in college?
Dd, who is thinking about majoring in English, wants to get her English major with Teacher Licensure, and I know nothing at all about this.
Any information anyone can give me and any experience you might like to share would be greatly appreciated!
Although we're in NY now, she would be using this degree in VA, as we are planning to move to VA next year hopefully.
Thanks!

degree in teaching? I thought it was---and maybe that's what you're saying, too.
Here's ETS's direct link to more information on the Praxis---the main page for ETS is just www.ets.org and then you scroll down to the test you want more information on.
Here's the link for the Praxis:

HTH! Best wishes to your daughter!

Praxis I when you enter the teaching licensure program and Praxis II when you are done with the degree.
I was wondering about Praxis I, but I would also like to know what your experiences have been with both!
Thanks,

either one! I'm taking my GRE on Monday, and I hope to eventually be certified to teach either at the high school level, which would require either a Master of Arts in Teaching or a Master of Science in Education, or at the community college level, in which case I would most likely pursue a Master's in Lit. Unfortunately, though, I'm not certified to do anything (except homeschool!) so I can't comment on either test.
Sorry I couldn't help you further, but maybe the link will give you additional information.
