I already get the subscription, but this is his name, I thought it was odd that I already had gotten a recent copy. I have no idea why he got it and I really doubt that he signed up for it.

Does he have any other magazine subscriptions?
My dh received an offer for Better Homes and Gardens awhile back. I think it was because they got his name off a mailing list for Time or Rolling Stone or something.

Sometimes magazines you subscribe to will send you a "free trial" of one of their other magazines and if you don't cancel they will charge your cc. We've had it happen before. One of the athletic mags my hubby subscribes to (he runs, plays golf, doesn't watch "sports" on tv) sent him Sports Illustrated. We called to find out what the deal was and had to cancel it before our card was charged.

Also, if you order pizza online there's a box to accept free trials of magazine, you have to switch the default to say you don't want it. I've almost missed it before.

The past few times we've called to "activate" credit cards, we've been forced to listen to (and refuse) offers for things like magazine subscriptions. If you don't listen to the spiel VERY carefully, you will miss the fact that you have to refuse the offer or you're atomatically accepting it, and atomatically billed for it on your cc. The spiels are written to take advantage of busy people (or people who can be confused), who might fail to realize that they have just signed up for something they don't want or need.

Are you sure you didn't sign him up as a hint?
