cognitive science?

Does anybody have a kid majoring in cognitive science? I think that's where my 9th grader is headed.

I was surprised to find that there are only two universities in Texas with cognitive science degrees, University of Texas at Dallas and Rice University.

I studied cognitive sciences as part of my engineering degree (I specialised in ergonomics and computer-human interfaces)
It's been a long time (20 years?) but at the time, those actively working in cognitive sciences were all doctors (neurologists for the most part) teamed up with psychologists.
I didn't know they now have a degree directly into cognitive sciences.
