Okay, so there's this cable channel (don't ask me which one) that shows old movies, and there are these little silhouette figures that make smart aleky comments all the way through the movie. I don't remember the name, that's not important.
But -- wouldn't that be just the most incredibly perfect job for you? You could, like, so totally BE one of those little silhouette figures.
(or, you know, maybe a writer, if you don't really want to morph yourself into a cartoon existence)
I'm just sayin'.

Thanks, that was actually starting to bug me, not being able to think of the name of the show. :glare:

Aw, that's so sweet! You thought of me!

Thanks to YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KF5bY53jokQ) you don't need no stinkin' cable. My ds14 would be thrilled if someone revived this show.

That's so funny - dh was watching Pride and Prejudice with me the other day and he said there needs to be a Mystery Science Theatre 3000 for all the Jane Austen films.
That would be hilarious. Go doran!

They've got MST3K!!
Oh, that's one of the things I miss about cable. Then I read this thread and thought, "Wait a minute..." WOOHOO!
They take bad, cheesy b-rate movies and show them as though you're sitting in a theater while a guy and his robots (on a great, cheesy b-rate spaceship) are a row in front of you (you can see their silhouettes) dishing on the movie the whole time. It's stinkin' hilarious!
Check it out if you get the chance. I think you'd like it.

Definitely check it out. We have showed these to our children, thus guaranteeing that people who want to watch a movie will never watch a movie with us again.

My mom had 4 daughters. She never liked MST3K because she said WE were funnier. ;) eta: after we left home she would frequently say "I watched X the other day, it was NOT as funny as I remember it being." There are a lot of people who won't watch movies with us. :tongue_smilie:
