DS had his follow up visit today. He has been using the Vision Therapy computer programs and the Brock String at home now since August (we didn't start the Brock String until 6 months ago and it has been sporadic). His depth perception has gotten so much better as well as his convergence and some other things she said but I can't remember! :001_huh: So good infact, that she doesn't want to see him for 6 months! She said he will probably be finished with the programs by then. (She didn't say this, but I assume we would then start on a maintenance schedule with them.)
I can tell so much difference in ds with his reading (which could be a combination of things) and his baseball activities (batting/catching).

Wow! That's great!
My dd too avoided ball games when she was young. I remember being surprised she didn't like to play catch, because she was quite an athletic little girl. Later I realized she was never sure where exactly the ball was when it was coming at her, so she was always afraid of being hit. She hated all of the ball sports we tried, including T-ball and soccer, most likely for the same reason. A couple of years after she had completed vision therapy we had her try tennis, and she fell in love with the game. Later I read that tennis is an excellent follow-up to vision therapy because of all the tracking-of-the-ball with the eyes that is required.
Anyway, congratulations on seeing so much progress!

Thanks to both of you. I'm really excited for him to actually feel like he can achieve some things he likes to do.
