we've only used textbooks for math and science up to this point, but I'm looking ahead into hs and thinking of using them for history and english as well, to make sure I get everything covered. I am leaning toward BJU

Here is the way this looks for 9-12th

BJU Science 9-Physical 10- Bio 11- Chemistry 12-Physics (not sure about this, we'll see)
BJU English 9-12
BJU History 9-12 with corresponding WTM lit.
math
Lightning Literature (2 books per year)
foreign language (her choice, possibly at cc Jr. and Sr. year)

what do you think?
btw, I'll be entering grad school as my dd is entering hs, so I'm trying to streamline our studies

I know I'll have to add in PE, but that's covered already - she surfs competitively

thanks

Looks good to me. Yes, I used a text for history, math, science, French, and grammar. I used Omnibus for 9th and 10 with tweaking, adding in Spielvogel's West. Civ and a little bit of Barron's World History the Easy Way, so that covered Lit, Theol and History.

You seem to have a lot of lit in your schedule, using several different courses--BJU English--does that contain lit, too? I like their Brit Lit, but I'd add in several more whole books. What books would you be covering in Light Lit? And what are your lists for WTM lit? Literature might be an area to streamline.

It's an exciting time, for sure!

I haven't pulled my list together for WTM lit, but I think that the BJU is just for grammar/ composition as they have a Lit program and an english program at the hs level. BJU English is one area I'm not too sure about, thanks again for the response
