My oldest son is twice-exceptional (maybe thrice-exceptional, but who's counting?) For his unique giftedness and disabilities, we've found it important to let him thrive in the areas where his strengths are, while still patiently working with the areas that are lagging. To do that best, we surround him with the things that will be of interest and let him soak up whatever 'extra' learning he wants. We do this with books, projects, games, people, etc. Since he likes the computer, we do this online, too. To keep it safe for him to 'explore' internet resources, we've created an educational blog for him and our other boys (www.worldstaracademy.com (http://www.worldstaracademy.com)). Besides this, we use various computer software that teaches systematically and provides periodic testing and evaluations. Some of these on the market are bland and boring, but some are fun (we like ones that let you print out certificates.) Our favorite site for this is www.greyolltwit.com (http://www.greyolltwit.com). For a $20 membership, my boys have spent literally hundreds and hundreds of hours learning. Anyway, that's my 2 cents on this issue!
