I have a friend with an Aspie son (11yo) and she has used TOG for years. She absolutely loves it.. I have not used it, but I have looked through hers. I decided against it because I have trouble following curriculum that requires certain books to be read on a certain schedule.. My Aspie girls are obsessive readers, but only when they choose the books.. So it's hard for us to follow someone else's reading choices and schedules..
What I do to get around this, is I just purchase all the good books that are usually recommended by most curriculum suppliers (Sonlight, TOG, Ambleside Online, etc.) and I just keep the books in the house (and the twaddle out).. They eventually get read.. But when I try to schedule them to be read, it always backfires on me. :glare:
Homeschooling Aspies is so much fun! :tongue_smilie:

I've not used TOG but have looked at it. I've used Sonlight, and the two seem to be similar. We've newly discovered the "Asperger" application to our dd but we're glad, because it explains ALOT and will probably reduce mom's and dad's frustration in trying to understand her behavior! As long as we have it scheduled and stick to the routine, she enjoys it.
