I would like to look at some books for activities to work with children on improving their speech. Any recommendations?

Small Talk by Cari Ebert is really nice. I found out about it on the Five in a Row boards I think she has a website now too.

It is really nicely laid out with fun ways to work on sounds. Not just for little kids either.

I also love Dr. James MacDonald - Play to Talk, maybe not what you are looking for though.

Good luck!

This book is amazing .It has a lot of activities to improve speech and critical thinking. It's very affordable too. I am doing a lot of work with my kids . It's great for kids with speech delay or not. A lot of fun too.

Linguisystem (http://www.linguisystems.com/) has a lot of books/workbooks to work on a variety of speech areas. You might be able to find something there.

Thank you all very much. I'll check all of these out while I'm at work tomorrow and start adding things to my wishlist.

This was going to be my suggestion, too! ;)

My daughter has a (repaired) cleft palate, and I've ordered a couple of books from here about a Chipmunk that has a cleft. She loves them!
