I found a mystery egg on the floor of the coop today. It's a little smaller than our bantam's eggs and greyish in color. None of the hens would 'fess up to it. We do have 2 guineas who are probably old enough now to lay eggs. ?

Hard to know without actually seeing it, but what you described sounds like what ours look like. They are small, and grayish- about the size (perhaps a bit smaller) than the first eggs chickens give.
You can eat them- 2 guinea eggs equal one chicken egg. You can also hatch them out. It takes a bit longer than the chickens, but other than that, it is the same process (assuming you have a male).
