does that signify that you agree with the total refund? Here's the situation. I purchased a grossly misrepresented item on ebay and seller agrees that she knew of the damage but did not disclose it because she didn't think it affected its use. So she agreed to refund me. In addition, I purchased insurance which she conveniently forgot to purchase at the PO. So I'm out about $10.75 for the first shipping and an additional $10 for the return. I feel that she should refund at least the original shipping since it was misrepresented. She only refunded the purchase price.

So, I have an "accept" or "deny" opportunity on paypal. If I accept payment, do I have any further recourse? I have opened a dispute on paypal because she doesn't appear to have any intention of reimbursing shipping.

But should I go ahead and accept and just consider it a lesson learned? Does paypal disputes ever work?

TIA

You should not accept the refund on paypal or you are agreeing to the terms of the refund. If she misrepresented the item, you can file a dispute through e-bay. It's actually very easy. You fill out a form saying what you want her to do (refund the whole amount/ send replacement etc), she responds and you work it out that way. If you can't come to an agreement, there is a way to further dispute it, but I would start there.

I just realized I assumed you purchased something on e-bay! Sorry! If you didn't, I still wouldn't accept the refund, wait for the dispute to go through.
HTH!
