I had my ultrasound yesterday because of some mysterious "thumping" that we couldn't figure out. He's fine - perfect in fact. So we're still not sure what it was. Dh thinks he's in there with a hard hat on doing construction work of some sort, LOL.
Anyway, I've never had an u/s done at this late in the game so imagine my surprise when I saw him with chubby cheeks! Isn't he precious? I just can NOT wait to meet him now!
Enjoy!

How precious! How utterly adorable!
Whooo boy. Must not click on any more cute baby pictures. Not until I've written at least four chapters on the diss.

LOL! I love that!
What do you think, Janna? Maybe he's enlarging the space for a double-occupancy the next time around. :D

Wow, what an amazing, clear shot! Soooo cute--I bet you cannot wait to hold him. But yeeesh...I'm with PariSarah. No more clicking on cute baby pictures for me. It makes my hormones thunder through my body like a flash flood :willy_nilly:
Do you think the thumping could have been hiccups? My first had hiccups constantly when I was PG. Sometimes it was this cute, fluttery feeling. Other times, especially at the very end, it was like she was pounding on the "service exit," as my DH would say :001_huh:

It's been a long time since I had ultrasounds in my life, and, like you, I've never had one done late in the game. It actually still amazes me that "we" can do this -- look at pictures of our unborn children. He is, indeed, precious. I share your joy!

Dh said the other day that he's going to be an engineer and is in there "tying my tubes". We had a fun laugh at that, embellishing the storyline a bit, by adding the hard hat with the light on it and the welding materials etc...
Dh thinks we should have another after this, so I'll tell him what you said about making preparations - he'll love that. ;)

Double occupancy - I don't think so. THAT is NOT funny! But, as I wrote to SolaMichella, dh is wanting another one, so perhaps making the preparations isn't a bad thought. :)

Oh, that's so sweet! How cute. When are you due?
I'm not due until May - I'm 33 weeks. That's a long time to wait to meet this cutie-pie, don'tcha think? I told my dh we needed to take it with us when I'm in labor so he can show it to me to give me the strength and motivation to push him out (hopefully without drugs, which will be a first).

It's possible they were hiccups, but he does have those and there is always a pause between the "thump". What I was experiencing was "thumping" without a pause in-between. The technician yesterday said that it's possible he was pulling on the umbilical cord, but I think she was stretching for an answer too. I'm just glad that all looks great!
