I am so impressed with you ladies after reading many of the posts about car seats and booster seats. I thought I was the last car seat conservative out there. Safety First!

Here is my question though. DD is 5 yo and 34 pounds or so. She is still in a bucket carseat with a 5 pt harness, but she is clearly getting too tall for it now. Can anyone recommend a good comfortable booster or another five point harness seat that can accomodate her height.

What's her torso measurement? Sitting on the floor, measure from the floor to her shoulders.

What seat is she currently in?

And what vehicle will this car seat be going in?

oooo I hit the jackpot with you! her torso is 14.5 inches tall. she is 41.5 inches tall. We are in a Chrysler Town and Country, but I would like it to work in our Toyota Camry as well. I don't know what she is in now. Some kind of Graco I think. Can't look right now. Thanks so much for your help!

are all in the Graco Turbo Boosters (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000E0P290). You can easily adjust the height of the back. They like the dual cup holders :001_rolleyes:, and haven't ever complained they are uncomfortable (the older 2 have been in them for 2+ years, and ds5 just switched). I bought ours at Target.

We had the Graco Turbo booster and didn't care for them as my son is tall but lean so we needed something to grow a little more with him. I did a lot of research and asked a friend of mine who's a certified Carseat installer (she took a course in this) and she recommended the Compass B510 boosters. My kids love them. The cup holders are very short like the Graco but we have a Town and Country and they just use the ones in the van. These seats also fit very nicely in my dh's Honda Civic.

I bought them from www.elitecarseats.com Great company with super fast shipping.

the Compass boosters, too. Our kids are small for their ages. These are great boosters. My daughter is so skinny, and she complained that the Graco had an uncomfortable "seat." She has no "padding" there:). We ordered ours from the same place that Kel linked--http://www.elitecarseats.com (http://www.elitecarseats.com/)

He is 4 and weighs 34 pounds, too. Here's a link to it. http://http://products.howstuffworks.com/cosco-summit-high-back-car-seat-22-260-review.htm

The Britax Regent would keep her in a 5 pt harness for a few more years, but it is huge. If I could fit two of them in my car, that is what I would get. She would still fit in the Marathon or Boulevard (both Britax seats), but she would outgrow it pretty soon. I like our Parkway boosters and they have side impact protection, but they have been retired. You can get some good deals on them right now, though. I think our next step once my girls are out of the Wizards (predecessor to the Boulevard) is the newer Britax Monarch booster. I am anxious to see the measurements for the new Frontier that will convert from 5 pt to booster.

You might consider putting her in a Marathon or Boulevard until the Frontier comes out and then giving the Marathon or Boulevard to your younger child.

Check out the Britax website. They have a section where you can put your child's measurements in and they tell you what seats fit.

Needless to say, I love Britax seats and I am paranoid about putting my 6.5 y.o. girls in boosters full-time! :D

We received our Parkway today and my 7 yo is in love. I purchased a Compass booster once, but it did not work for my 9 yo. So, I took it back. It was not wide enough, nor did it go high enough.
