I am so excited, DH and I are having a "date night." The best part? Our date is here

Is it sad that I am getting a couple of hours away with my DH, and it is to fix meals? He is being a great sport though...he is pretending to be excited about it as well :)

Not sad at all! I used to do one of those (until it closed) with a couple of friends about every other month or so. It was a lot of fun. I think cooking and preparing food with others you care about is a wonderful way to bond and be playful. Actually, I think it's a great idea for a date. Have fun!

Nope- totally not sad. DH and I have had fun at places like that! I *love* his help, and we get to chat while assembling meals- and it makes me smile later on when we use them for dinner.

(He has also helped me assemble freezer meals here at home. It's more fun to go out to a Dream Dinners place and do it!)

No. If you're together & enjoying it that's all that matters. We've had our best times at Target shopping without kids.

Actually, my DH would have great time doing something like that. He loves to cook, but never really has the opportunity. And I never feel more connected to my husband than when we're working together for our family. I don't think it's sad at all!

When we were remodeling our house, most of our date nights were at places like Home Depot and Lowes.
Have a great time! :001_smile:
