Although her sprinkling of R-rated humor affronted my delicate sensibilities, I still enjoyed the book.

I, too, have many times wished to take a black Sharpie to signs and banners I've seen.

I do confess that I am still foggy concerning the more complex rules regarding commas. My solution has always been to completely rewrite the sentence in a way that does away with my need to figure out the correct punctuation.

I'm sure my posts on this board will still be full of wrongly used puctuation and poor grammar. But, I'm not editing or writing for posterity on here. It's a conversation - not a dissertation.

(Oh, and, yes, I know this book came out six years ago. But, I've never read it.)

I enjoyed this book, as well. :) I read it much like I read other books; skipping from spot to spot based on nothing more than a whim. I must have missed the R-rated material.

I love this bk too. I gave mine to a friend and have been meaning to pick-up another copy. I need it.

I loved this book! I'm a comma stickler and a semi-colon nut.

I enjoyed that book too. Others you might enjoy include:

Biting the Wax Tadpole: Confessions of a Language Fanatic by Elizabeth Little

and

Spellbound: The Surprising Origins and Astonishing Secrets of English Spelling by James Essinger

and, a favorite of mine,

The Mother Tongue by Bill Bryson

Enjoy!
