A friend would like her public-schooled son, who is finishing pre-algebra, to take Algebra 1 as an online course over the summer so he can take geometry in the fall at his school. She's checking with the school, but accreditation may be necessary - some accredited online program that can send a transcript.

I'd appreciate any advice/suggestions, as I'll be seeing her later today.

Thanks,

I know that Keystone has a good reputation with homeschoolers. Many who have their children use Calvert go over to Keystone for the high school years. I know nothing about their Algebra 1 program, but you could check it out. Keystone is an accredited distance learning institution.

We've been very impressed with the Art of Problem Solving math courses online (we're doing the number theory one now). I see they have an Algebra I course too...
