I have HUGE eaters (all rail thin), who will eat anything. I had a friend up the road call awhile back, saying, "I'd like to invite the girls to lunch, but don't have enough food for your gang. Can they come, but can you send food?" We had a good laugh and I sent their usual lunch (of several sammies each, fruit, cookie, drink, veggies and a snack for later). And my next two eat even more than the first two! We have a rule at our house--you can't come looking for another meal until the dishes from the LAST meal are done! I'm tired of hearing, "Did we have lunch?" "Yes, and you had three plates of spaghetti--an hour ago!"

They're only 9 and 7, but they'll eat more in a sitting than I do (and I'm not a sparse eater, by any means). They don't eat junk, and they don't waste food. These kids can *eat*.

We are going to have to start raising several kinds of food sources if we're going to survive the teen years! :)

We already raise our own chicken, eggs, beef and lamb. I'm STILL not happy about dh selling both my milk cows last year...

That describes my whole gang. I get seriously worried when I consider how much I spend on groceries now and consider my future bills. Not to mention the constraints of my ve-e-e-ry small kitchen. Oy vey!:tongue_smilie:

KIN and I were talking last week and she said they make 3 chicken breasts and may still have leftovers! We make 6 chicken breasts and the only way there's anything left is if the baby didn't eat all hers and then the chances are someone finishes it for her!
