We got our first acceptance!

My ds only applied to two colleges. We got our first acceptance notification today! :D I am so relieved. I knew he would be accepted, but I had doubts. Doubts about the path we chose. Doubts about my transcripts. Doubts about his test scores. I am happy.

I did learn however, that if your ds doesn't put his SSN in his SAT and ACT profile, that the colleges will not be able to match his scores with his application. After two months of wondering why the scores hadn't been posted, I checked his ACT and SAT accounts and saw that the SSN was not there. I added it, paid to have the results expedited to the college and TA DA - he is accepted. So remember SSN is very important in applications process.

Congratulations! Feels great, doesn't it? When my ds got his acceptance letters, I felt somehow validated. I guess I viewed it as a pat on the back for all my hard work that sometimes nobody seemed to notice. : )

Congrats! I have been nervous this year with my ds applying to colleges. We homeschooled him through 7th grade. I'm sure I'll be worse with dd who is homeschooling the whole way through.
