I understand the TE has pacing and teaching tips, but if I want to have the solutions for the exercises, is any of that in the TE or just the SM? I'd rather not have to work all her problems to see if they're correct! I can find TE available on line but it seems the Solutions Manual is harder to come by.

The TE has just the answers. The SM has the problems 'worked' out. Although some of the solutions are abbreviated and not much use.

You might want to try abebooks or ecampus. I've also seen it on powell, but as a recall that one was over priced. Make sure you check the current price from the publish before you buy used....some used sellers have ridiculous prices on text books....

The TE has just the answers.
Are you sure of that? I got the TE from ILL, and I thought they had the problems worked out fully in there.

fonly has answers, no solutions. The Teacher's Edition looks just like the student text except for the upper right corner of the cover that says "Teacher's Edition" on it, and the answers in blue in the margins or in the body of the text that the student sees in his book. Oh, and the teaching/pacing tips as Pam said, also.

Sue:
The TE I have (ISBN 0131657097) has just the answers in blue next to the problems. However there is a short section in the back of the book with "additional answers" where the answer was too long to be included on the page with the problem. That may have been what you saw.

I guess I would have been pretty unhappy when I realized that the TE doesn't have the solutions. I'm sure I can work out everything, but I'm sure I don't want to have to spend the time either. :001_smile:
