...has the overwhelming urge to put somethign really off the wall in there? I read the SL boards too, and theirs are often very detailed. I have no signature over there, because, well, no one ever asked politely! (And, no one cares:D)

Anyway, I always get the urge when reading them to put "Mommy to Boopsy, 2, doing Lials, Henle, Core 9000 with super double advanced readers".

or maybe...

"Mommy to Bubba, Inmate of the Year, San Quentin"

or perhaps...

"Life partner to darling Megan, state chairwoman of the Florida Socialist Party and mother of 10!"

or...

well, you get the idea. Stuff that would cause people to look twice, and really wonder if I was serious.

(Now you all know that hidden beneath my sweet exterior, I'm a snarky old broad!)

My soul mate! You are not alone! It was this foray into snarkyness that led to my rejection from that "other" forum for homeschooling mothers.

I think for curriculum I said "books", or maybe "stuff...lint, string, and stuff like that"

Let's do it!:cheers2:

I'd never thought of that, but about 10 years ago, when my dd was an infant, it seemed to be the popular thing to put in your siggy all your child's maladies, special needs, birth-related issues, etc. It was just goofy. It was like people were trying to come up with disabilities to ascribe to their children. And this wasn't even on any sort of special needs-type of board!

So you would consider this "off the wall"?? I was about to write this exact thing about my darling little Boopsy-pie, and I get the feeling that you think it's odd! Waa, I'm so hurt.

Her brother, of course, is inmate of the year at San Quentin, and his name is not Bubba. I'm getting the feeling that you're making fun of our family, and we're not welcome here. I'm going to have to discuss this with my dp, Alice, and see if we should stick around.

I'm glad I opened that when my kids weren't around. They'd be asking for one for our van.

I just wanted to say, don't feel bad. Your Boopsy is working up to his potential, I'm sure. We can't all be high achievers.

Mother to a Princess Brat who thinks the world revolves around her and a Princess-Brat-in-Training, who KNOWS the world revolves around her and isn't shy to let you know this.

Or

Axe Murderess, Esq. For hire, no chop job too big or too small. Must pay up front. :)

Or

"Scotty, beam me up. You seem to have placed me on the wrong planet; there is no intelligent life down here".
