A friend has a daughter who is getting married this summer. This daughter lives out of state and has registered at stores that we do not have locally. I have purchased through one of the stores online. Our church is hosting a shower for this young lady (and she is in town) and I will be attending. I will bring a card...here's the question: How do I indicate that I have purchased online? I was hoping to copy and paste a picture of the item, but the sites won't allow it.
How does one politely word something to say: I bought you item X from your registry?

My Dad bought something from a local store because he did not have the registered store available. Same item, though. He just called the registered store and asked them to mark the item as bought. They did so.

I think I would just write it in the card...

Susie, We are so excited about your upcoming wedding. We have purchased x for you and Cletus through your online registry. We hope you will enjoy your new waffle maker (or whatever). May God bless your marriage!
