Woohoo! I am officially finished curriculum shopping for first grade! I'm so excited. It's going to be hard to wait for September to start :D
Also, for now, at least, I'm finally at peace with HSing. It's such a vast difference from how I was feeling even a month or so ago, but I am enjoying HSing, feeling recommitted, not questioning myself (much ). I took the advice of a dear friend (and member here) and called the small private school that I thought might be an actual option for us. I wasn't thrilled with the simple inability to provide a contact phone number on their Web site, their outgoing message, and the fact that they never even called me back. Between that, getting into a groove with our babysitter (who, by the way, didn't quit--it was a travel-related misunderstanding), taking supplements and generally treating myself better, I think I'm on the right track here. Hooray for homeschooling!
(Can you tell I'm feeling positive? :D)
