Why does this seem to always mess up my formatting?!

I'll post an image, and then the text is all scrunched up, even if I've spaced in between paragraphs.

Or, it's impossible to get the text down below the picture.

Is there a HTML explanation for this, that a very simple person could understand? :-)

When I post pictures, first I have to remember what order to put them in (because they always put the latest picture on top). Then, click on the Edit HTML tab on the top of where you type the post, and you can put your text over or under your pictures, and adjust your spacing accordingly.

Blogger aggravates me to no end, because it takes three tries to save changes I've made, even when I click save and then publish. I long for Wordpress again, but they wouldn't allow me any money making opportunities on my blog (ETSY, etc.).

I find posting photos tricky, too. I usually put my photos in first, before putting the text in...then I move them around, you can click and drag them some. I frustrate myself to no end when I move them around and try to delete the spaces and then delete the photo, grrr. I would welcome and easier, better working way...

Insert a line height command such <span style="LINE-HEIGHT: 1.4"> at the beginning to unscrunch the lines. Don't forget to close it at the end with a back slash thing.

To prevent problems with deleted photos get an account through a photo hosting website and upload your pics there and then use the URL option in blogger to enter the URL of that particular pic.

I've never been able to have the picture pop up where it's supposed to be, I cut and paste the code to where I want it to show up.

I find it is much easier to host them on flickr and then cut and paste that link into the text.

Plus, I can put as many photos as I want in a post this way.

I think I did that when I blogged before, and just got so excited to be able to do it all on Blogger (read: lazy), that I didn't think to go back to Flickr.

Thanks for the suggestion!

...I figured it was something with the HTML...

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

...to use WordPress.

When I blogged for ClubMom, the account they gave me was WordPress, and it was lovely. ::Sigh::

I didn't want to pay for it...didn't realize you couldn't do moneymaking things on it, either. Another reason *not* to use it, but...so many great features.
