I registered here eons ago, but haven't been around much. Thought it was about time to get serious.

I've got three littles. The oldest, K, is 5 and in pre-K at the moment (darn October birthday). You'll probably be hearing a lot about her - she's a challenge to figure out. She taught herself to read before she turned four, but didn't potty train till afterwards, for example. :001_huh: Right now we're just doing a few minutes of school at a time, trying to get used to the idea of "school every single day". We've been at this since July, and are averaging 8 days a month. :001_rolleyes:

My second, T, is 3 1/2. He's much more "typical". He's also a boy, which means I'm confused. No desk work for this kid! He's not even a fan of sitting still for stories. Ugh.

The littlest, L, is 20 months old tomorrow.

I've been studying "how to homeschool" since before we had kids - 10 years now. For the longest time, I was sure we'd do Sonlight. Then I found and fell in love with WTM. Then I actually HAD kids, and discovered they can't read my lovely plans! No telling where we're actually going to land. :glare:

Oh, and my username says I'm in Kansas, but we've actually moved over to the Missouri side of the state line now. The grass is orange and the sky is purple over here ....

We're near-enough neighbors, then.

Hi there -

I'm in Independence, MO.

I've got littles as well. I have a 5yo daughter who is at her last day of kindergarten right now. In July, she'll turn 6 and then we'll start 1st grade HS.

My son is 4.5 yo and we'll be embarking on a gentle pre-K/K program. I'm sure he'll be listening in on sis's history and readers as well.
