For those of you who followed Mr. Mosely's suggestions of working an hour a day, what chapter/lesson are you currently working on?

For those of you who did not follow Mr. Mosely's suggestions of how to use the program, what chapter/lesson are you on. What modifications to his suggestions did you implement?

but ds is only on section 5.3 because we spent 3 months on Chapter 4!

He finally passed chapter 4 with a C on his test and I said we are moving on:auto:
I'll supplement with Key to books that cover graphing this summer to see if we can get a better handle on that part.

Don't feel bad. We followed the SOP and are on 3.5. I'm trying to get a handle on how I want to proceed.

day today. It took an hour to do 3 word problems (mixture types).

We started at the end of August and my daughter is on Chapter 7 - mid chapter quiz today. She too struggled with chapter 4. In fact, she got through it and we plan to redo that chapter again over the summer. Our schedule has been to watch DVD, do review section all in the same day. Next day do 30 problems, whatever she misses she must re-do. The next day she does 30 more problems. We have moved at this pace all year, except the last chapter. She has only had to do the 30 problems for one day, each section.

So 3 days for one section? How many days for mid-chapter quiz , end of chapter review exercises and tests?

We are just beginning chapter 7, we had a September start date. I have to be honest with you and say I have no idea how my son breaks up the work, I guess he puts in an hour a day.:o

My dd does 1 day for mid-chapter quiz, 1 day for tests and 2 days chapter review. On DVD days she does the integrated review in addition to the lecture. Since she started Chapter 7 she only does 2 days per chapter section. This schedule has worked great for us this year. If she gets stuck we stop and go over it until she gets it. She does math 5 days a week and it usually takes 1 hour to an hour and a half. I assign the problems like 2-60 even, or 1 to 134 count by fours, etc..
