In the post below, no one mentioned this as an IQ test. Isn't that what it is? My children get this test every other year with the SAT-10 they take. What does this test show?

OLSAT is a rough screening test that is usually used to show which children might benefit from further testing to decide whether they qualify for school GT (or special ed) programs. It's used by schools because it's cheap and easy to implement, but isn't very reliable. If your child scores high on OLSAT, and you think they might wish to participate in something like EPGY or DITD, you'd still need to do private testing.
