Somebody shoot me. Please.
I swore we would not wait until the last minute, but of course we did. I swore we would keep accurate records, but of course we didn't.
I really think I will be a better 4H mom when I no longer a 4H leader, I am so stressed out that I ignore my own kids.

I have a love/hate relationship with 4H records. They teach the kids so much, but it is kind of like taxes and not fun! Luckily, ours are due in Sept. We usually start our school year with 4H records as the only project. I can't imagine them being due this time of year with having to do taxes for us and the business. Are your kids old enough that they can start taking responsibility for spending one day a month on them on their own? I am so glad you posted this. I am going to make my daughter work on hers today and get them up to date. thanks!

I don't really help my highschooler much, other than taking pictures and providing moral support.
But this is only the second year of portfolio work that my 7th grader has done, so he needs more propping up. He and I were talking yesterday and I do believe I am going to put about 20 minutes per week of portfolio attention into homeschool tracker. It's one thing to say "Hey, what all have you cooked this week?" and quite another to say "Hey, what all have you cooked this past year?":001_huh:

Here's encouragement to put those 4-H records in your school records. I can do a search on 4-H, or horses, or vaccination or worming or whatever and there is pops up! The girls keep separate lambing records of course, but the other is really handy! My Shooting Sports kids keep ALL of their .22 targets, so we just have to flip through the notebook. We have a page for archery scores. It makes it SO much easier!
