Any recommendations for a first physics course for a kid who's loving Ellen McHenry's chemistry courses this year? I think Hewitt's Conceptual Physics is best saved for the next time through the cycle, though I probably will get it for my own reference as I never took physics in either high school or college.

I like the look of the samples of both Mr. Q and RS4K Level 1. NOEO isn't my cup of tea. ;) Singapore MPH looks interesting but I'm not sure how easy it would be to create a physics course from the books.

I'm generally a Singapore geek, but we really enjoyed Bite Size Physics (http://www.bitesizephysics.com/). It's completely accessible for elementary level math skills, and it's fun. (And when he says it only takes household things for the experiments, he's really telling the truth! LOL None of those "household things" that haven't been seen since your grandmother's day....:D)

There is Conceptual Physical Science-Explorations, which is not as detailed and is written at an 8th/9th grade level. You could just do the physics part.
