We've been having a rather interesting conversation today (kids are home sick). We've decided that one family member reminds us of the hang-gliding Grandma in Hoodwinked, and that a different one is a cross between Stargate Atlantis's Rodney and Shrek's Donkey.

We even have a Melanie Wilkes.

How 'bout y'all? Who lives at YOUR house??

Not so much characters as animals. Some people just look like different animals to me - turtle, kangaroo, etc.

My grandmother's real estate agent from years ago always reminded me of an Oompa Loompa. Does that count?

My mother is very much like Morticia Addams and Lilly Munster. My father is more Gomez.

And yes, my family IS that weird. Me? I'm a cross between the kids-wednesday, pugsley, Marilyn, and Eddie.

A little psycopathic, dare-devil, Sweet/neat/lady-like, wolf-child. :)

I AM Lois, the mother from Malcolm in the Middle. If not outwardly, then at least in my head. And it's a terrifying revelation, lemme tell ya. ;)

There've got to be others, but DH just walked in, and my mind went blank. (DADDY'S HOME!!!!!!! YAY!!!!)

my father in law was a cross between John Wayne, Jimmy Stewart, Dick van dyyke and gosh can't remember his name but the main actor on Hello Dolly. I love watching some of our old movie favorites and thinking of him.

I have a family member who is a Mrs. Bennent (P & P)

and an aunt who reminds me of one of our chickens...hubby cracks up whenever he sees her now, cuz it's true. I have to think real hard not to call the aunt by the chicken's name.

Dy, I love Lois! When I saw the episode where all the boys were in trouble for something and she had them lined up against the wall, kneeling with hands over their heads with noses touching the wall, I turned to hubby and said, "she's my hero!". I identified with her too when she fell down in the room filled with legos and they played the godzilla sounds as she fell in slow motion... I enjoyed that show back when we had t.v.

I have a friend that looks VERY much like Jerry Seinfeld. And, he's not only a huge fan of the show...his life mirrors much of the show! Unfortunately, he looks like Jerry...but, his life is more like George. Ha!! Those are his words, btw.

And I have a nephew who is called "Ferris" at school because he looks so much like Matthew Broderick.

And admit it -- Sometimes we ALL feel like we are married to Spock.

What happens if you really are married to a cross between Spock and Albert Einstein and Wylie Coyote? :)

And yes, I can identify with Lois, very much so. We watch that and since DH is the oldest of 3 boys, I'm often asking him if it was really like that.. He just laughs at me.

Back a few years ago there was a show called, My So Called Life. I identified with Angela Chase (a gather a number of gals did). Recently I shared the series with my daughter and was surprised to find after all these years I still do. Thankfully, my folks were nothing like hers.

One of my sisters used to call her mother-in-law Marie (Barrone).

I can't think of anyone else.

:p Then I suppose you can very rationally, logically, and scientifically determine ways to fall off cliffs while bombs explode in your face.

Every time I see Rabbit (in Winnie the Pooh), I think of my Auntie Vicki (my mom's sister). :o)

I think my little brother Robert (he's 32) looks a little like Brandon Fraser. He also reminds me of a white Will Smith. You probably can't see either from this photo, but trust me ;)

YES!! But w/ the accident prone here, lol. i always joke that I married a cross between Tim the Toolman [see my shelves on the intro page??!!] and John Wayne. Wah Hah pilgrim.

Me --well, didja see my avatar?? LOL! sarcasm flies at my house. between me and dh, Every conversation always comes back to a movie line from somewhere. A couple years ago dh gave a mock-serious chewing out to oldest ds along the lines of YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!!. It was great.

when we got the email offering a job in NY, dh asked if I would be willing to leave TX. I sighed and gave a nice supportive wifey answer: "Where you go, I will go. Your people, shall be my people." he immediately freezes and asks....
That sounds familiar.....what movie is that from!!??

LOL!

Now if I could get some guy to narrate our wedding video in a documentary kinda style, he'd be able to remember the date of that as well as the times, dates, duration, and location of battles of the civil war and WW2 ;)

life is fun.

edited to add: he also does a great Eeyore voice: he used to call my cellphone and the kids would talk to "Eeyore" for quite a while. Terribly cute!!
