Do rep point comments disappear after a certain amount of time?

I guess that I don't chekc mine very often. I currently have more points than the last time I checked but there are no comments listed under most recent rep points. I only have 128 posts and I haven't repped enough people to accumulate the additional points that I have earned. So where did the extra points come from and why can't I see the last five comments that I have received? I read all of the post related to this subject and can't seem to find the answer.

If the last 5 people who've reped you didn't leave comments, then you won't see any. Comments aren't required- they are optional. :D And you can only see the last 5 reps you've received if you click User Control Panel. HTH

As far I know they do not disappear.

If you click on the scale on one of your own posts, you can see all the reps left for that post.

As far as I know, there is no way to see a complete list of reps left.

The comments are, as I understand it, all still there, but only the most recent 5 are shown on the control panel.

AIUI, no one else can see them - if you click on the scales on one of your *own* posts, you can see all the rep comments/boxes left for that post.

You have to click on a post that has been repped - if that makes any sense...

When I click on the post you responded to, I get a 'this post has not received any reputation. You have X reputation points' message.

If I click on the scales on a post that someone has left (positive or negative) rep then I get a list of those rep comments.

Does that make more sense?

Try clicking on your first post in this thread - I left you a (positive! :) ) rep, you should be able to see it now by clicking on the scales icon on that post....
