Has anyone used either of these?? I love the samples I saw online, but would like BTDT opinions. This would be for my soon to be 9th grade son.

DD13 just completed TW's Intermediate Algebra. We were very satisfied. Int. Alg is a BIG course, so you do have to stay on schedule to complete in your 12 months, but it is doable.

DS10 is wrapping up TW preAlg and will go right into Int Alg, so that vouches for my satisfaction.

There is no teacher support on TW -- so you do have to be able to help your child when they get stuck. They can rewatch lectures, review notes, redo exercises, on their own. . .but if they are stuck, they deserve and need someone to coach them through. I had no problem doing this with dd13 although sometimes I'd have to take a few minutes to review the notes/sample problems to remind myself how to do some weird technique (remember sythetic divsion, lol?)

My dc both like the TW approach, and are learning/retaining very well, etc. I think it's solid.

I'll likely use TW for PreCalc and Calc later as well.

(FWIW, I am a mathy person and so are my dc. Math tends to come easily to them and I have no trouble coaching.)
