(Pity Party) Broke my foot yesterday

So much for a strong academic week--broke foot first half hour (on the bathtub, of all things) It's going to be a tough haul getting the kids focused on work and managing the home...and my foot hurts :( Feel like such a baby--DH had to leave school (he's finishing MBA) to take me to hospital, but must go today. My little cherubs have grown horns last night.

Drat! On the bright side, you know, you can do an awful lot of reading out loud when you are stuck in one place! 'Course, the dust might pile up a bit, but that's easily remedied once you are more mobile.

I wish I lived closed enough to bring you dinner tonight. :grouphug:

Sounds like it's time for some intensive home-ec lessons. I understand the disappointment with having to lay core academics aside, but there's nothing like real life need to motivate a kid to learn to clean and cook. In the long run, those are some of the most important things we can teach our kids. Good luck formulating some on the fly lesson plans!
