Teaching Company Sale Schedule?

Does anyone know how to figure out if somethings already been on sale this year?

I asked this question of someone at the Teaching Company. She said the only thing they can do is tell you when an item was last on sale. Since everything goes on sale at least once a year, you can get an idea of how long at most you will have to wait.
