I posted this question inside the post started by Jennifer, but I wanted to make sure you saw it.

Karen, I have a question about how you copy and paste the student questions in your workbook. How do you do that since they are a pdf file? Do you convert them first? I'm starting to seriously consider doing this.

Not Karen...but I believe she copies and pastes them into another program (Quirk?). Anyway, she says that you can do the same in whatever word processing program you have. She copies the information over and spaces it out, so that her kids can write their answers directly into the workbook. Correct me if I'm wrong, Karen.

I used this method to make worksheets this past week from the accountability questions and it worked really well. I'm so glad she mentioned this, I wouldn't have thought to do it this way. I especially like that I can space things out the way I want to.

Hi Mindy,

I thought I answered at Jennifer's post, but I'm hopped up on NyQuil so maybe I dreamed it.;)

Anyway, I always thought unless I had Adobe Professional that I couldn't get any text from a PDF, but I have since discovered that's not true. I select the text needed, copy, and then paste into a word processing program (I use Quark.) The only thing is that I haven't figured out a way to keep the formatting so that is lost. I really don't mind reformatting it though, not a big deal since I move everything around anyway.

If you are going to include maps I would make sure the assignment is on the facing page, I do assignment on left side and map on right.
