My almost 3yo seems to need to keep his hands busy ALL THE TIME. What can I give him to play with while he is winding down for the night, listening to stories, or watching TV? I considered Play-Doh briefly, but that's out because of the messiness factor and I have an infant who will eat it if she gets her hands on it. Anything with small pieces is out for the same reason. Any ideas? He just needs something to fiddle with to keep his hands busy, you know what I mean?

Maybe a koosh ball (sp?) or a magnadoodle? Mr. Potatohead (if the pieces aren't too small)?
