View Full Version : Anyone else in a bad mood today? And post office question

I'm just in a bad mood which is really abnormal for me. I think I must be getting hormonal even though it's a bit early for me. Hm.

My day started out with an annoyance because I had to go to the post office. I had to go to the post office because our mail boxes are in the back of our homes and therefore the postal carrier won't deliver packages to our door. So, I have to go pick up all packages. Despite the fact they will not deliver packages to my house they still put them in the truck so I can't pick up my package the day I get the slip, I have to wait until the next day. It really ticks me off. Can I complain about this? I complained to my post office but they seem pretty nonchalant about the whole thing. If I can complain then to whom do I direct my complaint?

Not in a bad mood here...more overwhelmed! Seems like there's so much to do before summer....

The post office is not my favorite, they seem difficult to work with and crabby at my branch. I would guess you'd need to ask for the branch supervisor to direct your complaint.....

I posted earlier about my bad attitude today. It's abnormal for me, as well. Dh is basically working 2 full-time jobs as his photography biz takes off. (Yes, a very good thing, but I miss him!) I tried to get out in the gorgeous weather, but instead tackled getting Homeschool Tracker set up. I've been putting it off and figured I was already in a bad mood, I may as well be productive. I feel like a giant slug for some reason today.

Dh is on his way home, though! He's bringing me some grape therapy and promised some alone time. http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/eatdrink016.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org)

I hope you feel better soon!

Ask to speak to the carrier supervisor or the Postmaster. I'm a former letter carrier and I always went to people's doors. What do you have those cluster boxes? In any case, if the carrier is told not to go to your door for some stupid reason (the P.O. does a few things for stupid reasons) the carrier should know that ahead of time and leave your package at the front window.

I'd complain,
Karen

I read your subject line and thought, "Uh-oh, Mrs. Mungo's going postal!" I hope your day gets better. I had one of those the other day and whadaya know? There was a reason.:001_huh: Here's my prescription: a little vitamin B, a little chocolate, a little leave me the heck alone and be quiet;) I feel better now:D Maybe using extra emoticons helps, too.

Our neighborhood is set up weird. We don't have a street that goes in front of our house, only a street that goes in the back of the house. There's a fence around the back of the house and the mailbox (they are individual boxes) is by the gate in the fence in back. I'm pretty sure the entire neighborhood is set up this way (although I've really only driven through the part that immediately surrounds my house) which means nobody in the entire neighborhood is getting their packages taken to the front door. Logically, therefore, the thing to do would be to leave all the packages at the front window (as you say) so that I can pick it up the same day. However, when I went the last time they told me I had to wait because the package wasn't back yet. I'll take your advice about the people to complain to, it's just ridiculous.

PrairieAir,
Thanks! LOL, chocolate, yes, I think I'm lacking in that food group so far today. I just need to :chillpill:

Where does UPS leave your packages?

but about the bad mood- my endocrinologist keeps adjusting my thyroid meds, and they keep bouncing up and down- all that to say I feel like I have been in a bad mood for a month now. Sigh. I am irritable and cranky, and it feels like my buttons are just stuck out so far that they are way too easy for my teens to push.

I definitely feel overwhelmed too. A friend was over today, and we decided we both have about 37 jobs and are not doing any of them very well.

I am walking around lately singing to myself..... "Just keep swimming, just keep swimming, what do we do we swim, swim....."

Hang in there,
LB

instead I'm in a sad mood.
Ugh...all day.
I even left my step class because I was too sad to finish!
Tomorrow's another day, right?

UPS seems to manage to bring my packages to the front door without an issue.

Needleroozer-Ah, see...thyroid...that is possible. I've gone to the doctor off and on for thyroid tests. The last time they tested my levels my TSH was 15. Which, I know is bad but I had a cyst and maybe that caused it and they didn't want to medicate me unnecessarily, etc. My mom has hypothyroidism and she's on me all the time about getting looked at again. I need to make an appointment for that. Boo, I hate going to the doctor. Back to swimming, thanks for the note.
