The sample textbook pages on line look straightforward and easy to understand. The scope and sequence of the book seems similar to Jacobs (by comparing toc's). Is it a complete program just with the textbook, or is there essential information on the DVDs?
I ask because I need a geometry program for dd15 for next year, but she *hates* online programs and flatly refuses to use one.

The book should be enough for her. My oldest did the program without ever looking at a DVD and did well. My middle son used them a lot, but he prefers watching what is done.
Just be sure you know how to reach the answers without having to look them up on DVD. There's an answer key, but it just gives answers. This is perfectly fine for us mathy folks, but for some others I know, they want the solutions (step by step) on DVD for when their student needs it.

My dd's have hardly ever used the dvd's. In fact, I'm not sure where they are. Last time one of the girls needed to look up the step by step they couldn't find them. I am usually a faster source of knowledge than looking up the solution on the dvd.
The book has everything in it that is covered on the DVDs in practically the same wording.
However, if you don't get the DVDs, you'll be missing the solutions (you'll have the answers, but not the solutions).
The topics covered are very similar to Jacobs. The main difference is that Jacobs assumes a higher level understanding of algebra, probably because TT Algebra I doesn't go as far as Jacobs Algebra.

Thank you all--that's what I needed to know. :)
