The PBS presentation of Emma had me thinking I really had had too many jelly beans and chocolate. The video and audio did not match up. I find this especially annoying :glare: with a movie like Emma as the expressions of the actors is so important to the story. I was really looking forward too enjoying the program too.

I watched it last night drinking coffee and eating angel food cake and strawberries. The audio and video matched here though. I wonder if it had to do with your local PBS station?

The actress playing her, I mean.
I liked this version, though I can't remember if some of the parts were in the book. I'm more familiar with the Gwyneth Paltrow/Jeremy Northam version.

Jane Fairfax was played by Olivia Williams. She also starred in The Sixth Sense.

I recorded it in the wee hours of the morning last night (to enjoy with chocolate later :001_wub:), and the recording seemed to be all right. Our PBS station is rebroadcasting it this evening on one of their HD channels; perhaps you can catch it again?
And thanks for suggesting Mr. Darcy's Story on a previous thread; I have been reading it this week and have really enjoyed it!

I am glad you are enjoying the book. I enjoy recommending books to people, and it is always nice to receive positive feedback.
I just found out they are considering Jason Alexander (from Seinfeld) and and guy that played Nils on Fraiser for the part of Mr. Collins in the musical version of Pride and Prejudice. I think either one would be great!
