I can't decide which list to use. I am debating between Veritas Press, Tapestry of Grace, Sonlight, Ambleside, and An Old-Fashioned Education. *sigh*

Maybe some questions will help--(this is off the cuff, not organized, so hth!)

How old are your kids?
Do you want to stick to the 4 year rotation, or do something else?
What have you done in the past?

Veritas spends a lot of time in Egypt, Greece and Rome. It's 6 year rotation based. Sonlight spends more time on American History. TOG condenses the early stuff, then spends a year each on 1800's and 1900's. Can't speak to the other two.
Are you planning on using Sonlight or Veritas at the jr or sr hi level?
If you answer back, we can help more.
I'm sorry I can't keep track of ages and what's being used by everyone. You've probably posted it a million times.
I don't remember names well irl, either!

I look at all of those lists and then make up my own wish list. I then carry that around with me in my purse to dicount stores and bargain tables, and whatever I end up buying makes up my son's reading for the year.

I guess I'm just too much of a rebel to follow someone else's list . . .

Have you considered using a book like All Through the Ages by Christine Miller? This resource has book lists for all history time periods, and includes books from Veritas and Sonlight (+ other) lists. It is wonderful :)
