They are fairly new and very expensive to replace. Our insurance covers a chunk of the cost but only once every two years. He lost them at my in-laws. He doesn't remember taking them off and I believe him; he usually never does unless he is changing his shirt or going to bed.
The kids had an egg hunt and he was all over the 4 acre property. He was all over the house too before I noticed they were gone. All I can figure is that they fell off somewhere while the kids were horsing around.
His vision isn't too terrible and it isn't like he needs to squint at a blackboard in school or anything, but I just dumped a $90 co-pay on them and would be nice for him to be able to see clearly.
I am really at a loss. I don't have the money to buy him a new pair right now. Plus, I'm not sure if I should punish him. I mean, he is going to be suffering the natural consequence for at least the time being since he can't see as well as he should. One thing is for sure, the next copay will be coming out of his allowance money.
(((sigh))) This really put a damper on an otherwise great holiday.
Thanks for letting me vent.
