I have a blog at homeschool blogger and blogspot. Now that I have .Mac, I have a blog on my website linked in my signature.

I was looking around others last night and felt really lame. However, at this point, I don't know what to use each one for and if I should keep them all or what.

I played around with my homeschool site last night and am thinking of either deleting them or making them specific.

Suggestions? Here are my blogs.http://homeschoolblogger.com/FrontierChristianAcademy/ and http://frontiermusings.blogspot.com/ (http://frontiermusings.blogspot.com/) and website in signature.

my motto is 'less is more', so I'd have to say, have the other two be a part of your website. Wouldn't be easier to have it all in one place?

I put my full name and plenty of identifying details on my professional blog, and try to publish things I wouldn't mind my tenure committee finding.

On my personal blog, I just put things that the g'parents would like to see, or a little self-promotion if I'm feeling the need for it. It's quite a mish-mash of topics, though. If I had more time on my hands, and more that I wanted to say, I might separate it into, say, a knitting blog, a recipe blog, and an everything-else blog. But I'd rather post almost-daily on a number of different topics than less-than-weekly on just one topic.

So, I would say that if you have enough to say about two different topics that you could post twice-weekly or more on both blogs, then go ahead and separate! Otherwise, revel in the variety.

I've got four. One is our family blog, one is the horse blog so that my family doesn't have to listen all the time to horse stuff (but sometimes they'll look at horse/kid pics there). One is a sale site and the other is the blog I never use unless it's to just sign in and harass my sister or a few people I know IRL. They all know it's me, but we pretend it isn't!

I have two. One for my recipes and one for everything else. I also notice that some homeschoolers have a general blog and a nature study blog. I like that idea. I've also seen a homeschooling blog and a book review blog. For my I just didn't want to clutter up my regular blog with all the recipes.

I have one, but am starting a second for a very specific purpose, that I will tell y'all about tomorrow.

I like the idea of separate blogs for separate purposes, but in the blog world I have often seen people branch out like that, and then end up combining again because it gets unruly. If you keep multiple blogs I think you have to have a very clear purpose for each and be able to maintain them, or you will probably lose readers - if that matters to you.

What about just using the categories feature? I haven't gotten around to doing that, but I like blogs that are good about maintaining that.

Have fun!

I'd rather have one that has separate parts to it, but I think you have to pay for those kinds of blogs and I'm too cheep! :-) I have one for stuff (which I have been negligent in posting, lately) and one for school. Actually, come to think of it, I have one where I list all the books we have read for the year, but noone ever sees that one but me.

I have a blog for my book and one for my family. They go hand in hand in certain ways, but I put a lot more personal and opinionated stuff on the family blog.

I guess I need to define each one and go from there. Now how am I going to decide?

I must have been under a rock, but I never realized LCC author was on the board. Love the book, BTW. I feel so special!!

I currently have four, only 3 are active.

One is for school only
One is a personal one for wt loss goal, it's easier than a journal (plus there is info that I don't care for some family to see. You know how families can be about you wanting to lose wt)
One is for our family and a new adventure we are planning
The fourth is a private one with a lot of spirtual insights. I hope to get it back and running, but for now it is not being used.
