As part of my long-put-off check-up (not dental) I was given a tetanus shot since I had no idea how long ago I'd had one. Durn arm is STILL sore and it has been three days. Guess I will go grab some more Advil - but how long should it hurt????

I seem to remember it being one of the longer-lasting aches.
Best wishes

I just got one recently and I think that stupid spot hurt for a week! Then it was tender (slightly) for a bit after that as well. Advil really helped along with and ice pack here and there. I was not pleased. It was on the side I sleep on and had to switch sides.
Hope it lets up soon for you!

Mine lasted a week. Not fun!!! Hopefully you will feel better soon.
I felt so bad for my dd when she got her shot before high school. Her jazz class was going to have a performance in a few weeks. She was the smallest in the class and the one that had to be lifted (by the arms) several times during the dance. She was so sore!!

Had a tetanus shot myself couple weeks ago. It was really, really sore for several days. It hurt just to feel my shirt sleeve against the spot where I got the shot. Then it was tender for several days more.
