New need help

I am new to this forum and wondering how to post and use the tools and how it all works. Is a thread the same as a post? Any help is appreciated.:confused:

Hi Tinkerbell. I'm new too, have been lurking for years.
Click on the user control panel to read about how to do different things in the hive mind; also click on board rules/faq, at the bottom of the page are three areas to click on for answers to other questions about posting. I'm not real techy and keep wondering when I'm going to post a signature or avatar.

Not sure if you've found the answers to your questions yet, but for most message boards, each person's individual replies are posts. An original post and all the replies to it make up a thread.
