In view of the recent dw threads~ my dishwasher unwashes my dishes

I have a very old dw made by kitchenaid. I have to throughly rinse, use Cascade wet, powder and jet dry and yet~ my dishes still come out dirtier thna when I put them in!! My husband said I can get a new dishwasher, any reccomendations? We have hard water. Thank you so very much for some HELP!! I bought a new clothes washer and it also unwashes my darks!!! ugh!! AND my 1 year old dryer is broken right now! I am due with baby # 5 in June~ I *NEED* a good dw.

I don't know how they work in actual use... but there are some on the market now that actually have a garbage disposal type system... you don't even have to take the food off the plate (other than what wouldn't go through a normal garbage disposal.)

If they work as well as they claim... that is a great new addition to dishwashers!
