I also did one season of track. I am not a good runner, but I was a decent high jumper.
I loved basketball.

I played volleyball all the way through junior high and high school. Not sure why I kept doing it. I'm not a natural athlete, it was really hard work, and I was never a starter for the team. I guess I'm a glutton for punishment, but I also have an aversion to quitting just because something's hard. So I kept plugging away.
I also did track for a couple of years.

I was on the cross country team. Not too bad either -- placed 2nd in state in gr. 11 & 12. I was also on the tennis team, but with significantly less success. :001_rolleyes:

Field Hockey!
I remember the first time we played in those silly little skirts and we all kept on losing sight of the ball when it got too close.

We used to have to wear our badminton uniforms to school on games days, and Wow, were they short. The guys used to give us a really hard time, and walking up the stair was very difficult (yes they did have what was a sports shorts of the time !Boomers! under them.) In some ways I hated game day.

None. I played basketball and ran track in jr. high. But gave it up when I got to high school because I was just not given enough athletic ability (or size) to compete at that level. Instead, I competed academically, where I had more than enough ability, thank goodness.

I lettered in both all 4 years. I also played in the band.
You asked about high school, right? Cause I also ran track and cross country in college all 4 years as well.

Softball, volleyball, basketball, badminton. Played tennis a bit but not for the school. Cheerleader. Batgirl for the baseball team. Yes, I know the last two don't count but they were sporty things.

Hail, fellow band geek! I only did concert band in high school, though.
I did not play any team sports in high school, nor have I since. I did lift weights as a teen and that, plus swimming, were the extent of my athleticism.

Mrs. Readsalot,
I played badminton, but not on the team :tongue_smilie:
I was in the tennis team - Only sophomore in Varsity placed 4th in the school district (little bragging):D as a junior.
Quit as a senior.....WHA?! WHY?! I don't know, my only regret in High School.

I loved being on the team, seems to have a natural talent for it, won the county championship as a team and individually my senior year. the other girls on the team became like family and our coach was the best.
I was also a band geek and played in marching, concert and jazz band. Music was really more my thing than sports, with the exception of badminton.
Interestingly, my badminton coach strongly advised me not to play tennis. The wrist action is very different and she was concerned it would mess up my game.

I played soccer and tennis. I wasn't particularly good at either.
I joined the soccer team at my friends' request. They didn't have enough players to play JV. I had never played and didn't know the rules. Our coach would turn around and NOT watch the games... we were that embarrassingly bad. We did have fun together, however. AND, the funniest part is that I actually LETTERED in soccer, since they had so few players.
I wouldn't have joined the tennis team if it weren't for a cute guy who went to the tennis orientation, so my friend and I went too. I didn't ever talk to the guy, but I *really* enjoyed playing tennis! I improved and really enjoy the game even though I'm not a superstar.

Gymnastics and cheerleading. I was rather tall (5' 7") for a gymnast, but I could do the finesse moves, not the strength moves.

Wow, we did not have girls wrestling. I think down south that's only seen at the local sports bar.
