Jody, I believe your donuts are great.... probably excellent...... undoubtedly magnificent!!! This I know after eating your wonderfully magnificent Christmas cookies for years on end  Hey I may be over in a bit :auto: save some for me....... NO wait I can not afford to let my pants get any tighter  You on the other hand a nice tiny size 6 maybe even smaller than that and can walk it off this afternoon. Ohhhhh to be so small :svengo: but then I have only myself and years of marvelous Christmas cookies to blame ;)

Please do not post that recipe because my pants are already too tight!!
Here is another great recipe from Jean in Wisc, which has become a family favorite:
Apple Panakucken
Melt 1/4 cup butter in a 9X13 pan
Pour over butter, 4 eggs, 1-1/2 cup flour (whole wheat works too), 1-1/2 cup milk or soy milk and 1/2 tsp salt.
Peel and thinly slice 6 apples and spread over batter.
Sprinkle on top 1/2 cup granulated sugar mixed with 1 tsp cinnamon.
Bake 375 degrees for 30 minutes, covering the last 5 to 10 minutes to keep the sides from getting too dark.
We eat this hot out of the oven topped with vanilla ice cream. Yum!

Thanks for the donut recipe...I think the only "person" in the "world" who likes donuts more than me is Homer Simpson.
JFS...can you share the Christmas cookie recipe? TIA!
