I was hoping for some info on these. I am especially wondering how independently dc can use these? Do the cd's teach at all or is it just a collection of puzzles? Is it self-checking or must I sit with him to do the puzzles to really know if he is understanding them? Any other info on these would be really appreciated!

My son used A1-A4 fairly independently. I had to sit down with him at first and do a few together. He needed me for a few of the more difficult puzzles towards the end.

I would say that there is no teaching. It is just a collection of puzzles. There are hints, but I haven't figured out how to use them yet :blush5:

It is self-checking. If they get the right answers, they get to play a silly game as well.

A few other things:
They are expensive, but they can be used over and over again.
The silly game at the end was a motivator for my son.
A1-A4 he did very well with. He looked at B1/B2 earlier this year and quickly choose a different book.
We also use the Perplexors and Logic Liftoff series. These are less expensive but not computer based.
HTH!

We use them and I love them because they are self-checking. We did the first few together until my ds got the hang of them. They are expensive but since they can be reused with three children they end up being cheaper in the long run.
