Just wondering if you left MUS and then later wish you had stuck with it... if so, please tell me your story.

Thanks!

Nope..but I passed it up several times because it didn't "look" right to me. What a mistake. When we finally tried it I realized we should have been using it all along! BTW, we are Saxon Math refugees!

Yes! When oldest dss were in 3rd and 1st (4 years ago) I thought Saxon was the answer...MUS was working...I just thought we needed a change. Well, 1 year later my 2nd ds was struggling!!!! We switched back to MUS, have been with them ever since and don't regret it at all (the switching BACK, that is:)

Someone told me a long time ago....switching is fine in most subjects, but w/ math....due to the way each curriculum "teaches"......find one and STICK WITH IT! :) So, we have.

Yes our program has a lending library and we can check out Singapore for free. We can, also, copy it for free. So, I tried to get my boys to switch over. I love the look of it, but it just doesn't appeal to them at all. They like watching the DVD. I just reuse the books by copying. They only do a lesson until they master it and then move on. So, we've been able to use all the books. My youngest will start on MUS next year.

Yes, I love the look of Singapore, too & the way some things are taught vs. MUS, but I see us going back after this workbook. We finished Alpha and should be moving on to Beta. Like Tiffani, it was working, I just thought we needed a change. With ds's learning style, I see us quickly returning.
